Nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Setia Alam, Restoran VVIP offers a delightful journey into the rich and comforting flavors of Asian cuisine, with a particular focus on traditional Malaysian mamak delights. This charming eatery effortlessly balances nostalgia with innovation, crafting dishes that are both familiar and intriguingly fresh.
The star of the menu is undeniably the variety of Roti Canai—each version a testament to skillful preparation and culinary tradition. Whether you choose the Roti Sardin, bursting with flaky layers and a savory crushed sardine filling, the sweet and satisfying Roti Pisang with fresh banana slices, or the classic Roti Telur, stuffed with fluffy egg, every bite resonates with authentic homestyle comfort. Adding a clever twist, their roti canai goreng transforms this humble flatbread into a crispy, stir-fried sensation evocative of char kuey teow, a revelation to diners discovering it for the first time.
Complementing the roti offerings is their selection of naans, notably the Ayam Goreng Naan, a marriage of deep-fried marinated chicken tucked inside soft, flavorful naan bread—an irresistible fusion that speaks to the kitchen’s creativity and meticulous attention to texture and taste.
Guests often praise the dining atmosphere at Restoran VVIP for its clean, cozy, and welcoming environment, a refreshing departure from the typical mamak shop ambiance. Soft smooth music plays in the background, creating a relaxing backdrop that invites customers to take their time savoring the food and company. The restaurant is thoughtfully designed with wheelchair access, highlighting its inclusive spirit.
As for drinks, the perfectly frothy Teh Tarik and zesty limau ais cleanse the palate and round out the meal exceptionally well, enhancing the warm, spicy, and crispy elements on the plate.

Found a hidden gem on Google Maps! Just got back from overseas after more than a year, so I had high hopes for my first mamak and man, they did way more than delivered! We had teh o ais limau, limau ais, roti telur, roti canai crispy, and roti tisu…everything was spot on! For our subsequent visits, we had their cheese naan, mozzarella cheese naan too, maggi goreng, briyani, and glad to say I was satisfied. The place is very clean, I suspect the boss has OCD! It’s bright and well lit, with lots of fans installed. I feel safe and comfy :) The staff are very nice and patient, taking their time to answer all my questions. Recommended this place to a few friends and they liked it. Now I had converted a bunch of friends, their families and their friends into regulars at this mamak spot.

A Taste of Childhood Magic! Stepping into Restoran VVIP was like taking a delicious trip back to my childhood! As a VVIP customer dining with family, every dish was an absolute delight. The Roti Canai was perfectly crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside – simply divine and brought back so many nostalgic memories. Paired with the Teh Tarik, which was wonderfully frothy and just the right sweetness, it was pure bliss! The food here is awesomely delicious and truly authentic. The ambiance, combined with such heartwarming flavors, made for a truly special family meal. Highly recommend for anyone craving genuine, soul-satisfying Malaysian comfort food! We'll definitely be back for more!

Place is clean. Foods taste very good. Atmosphere is not like other mamak shop. Have wheelchair access. Price is reasonable. Even the cup for hot drinks is different from other mamak shop. Smooth music play at the shop.

While servicing my car. I stumbled across VVIP. Ordered Roti Canai Telur Bawang (tambah cheese). And wow what a combination. Truly the best ive had around. Everything just melded together perfectly. Tried their raijak and Roti Canai Goreng too. The roti canai goreng is a complete twist of char kuey teow feel. Already looking forward for my next visit

Came here after some recommendations in the social media. The place is spacious, clean and bright, staffs are super friendly and efficient even the boss helps out on the floor. Food wise is good, I wanted some simple roti banjir but the staff introduced something I have never seen, heard and tasted, a roti goreng. They literally used roti canai to goreng like mee goreng, an interesting first try. While the mutton curry tasted ok, the meat was a bit tough. The teh tarik was flavorful and not too sweet. Somehow the patrons here are more than 90% Chinese in a Malay community. 20240414 and we’re back for breakfast, unfortunately the roti canai was average and the dhal was yellow and does not taste like the usual ones you see at other restaurants. The fried bitter gourd chips were a bit salty. 20240428 yet another visit here, trying out their naan, the garlic cheese naan is not ‘burnt’ enough if you know what I mean. Was below average unfortunately. 20240526 the Vada and curry is good! 20241103 sorry the curry puff really can’t make it since the last I tried. 20250209 the teh tarik has improved tremendously, ordered the roti tisu, messy eating haha. 20250317 ordered the garlic cheese naan again, the amount of garlic is good but the cheese is not flavorful unfortunately. The Teh ais kurang manis is ok
